The 5th Internacional African Festival
The 5th Internacional African Festival, an event organized annually by the Committee of African Festival Yokohama, with the aim of bridging the cultural differences between África and Japan, was held from March 30 to April 1, 2012 in Yokohama city. The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency João Miguel Vahekeni, Ambassador of Angola, as well as other Ambassadors and Heads of Mission of other African Diplomatic Mission in Japan. The lecture was attended by more than 60 students, their teachers as well two Aldermen and the Vice President of the Komazawa Sports and Cultural Club.
The lecture was presided over by His Excellency Mr. João Miguel Vahekeni, the Ambassador of Angola. The students showed great interest in the lecture, as was shown by the many questions they asked to the Ambassador.
