Secretary of State Téte António welcomed today the United Kingdom Baroness Lindsay Northover who started a three-day visit to Angola, with a view to strengthening our bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.
Africa Day celebrated in the city of Yokohama. The African Ambassadors and their Ambassadresses were present. On the Japanese side were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Taro Aso, Princess Takamado and the governor of Yokohama.

S.E. Secretary of State, Téte António received today, May 17, in audience, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, S.E. Vera Songwe. At the meeting, the UN official said that she came to Angola “to see the country’s economic and social progress”.
