ARRIVAL OF THE FIRST GROUP OF THE ANGOLA DELEGATION TO TOKYO

The 1st group of the Angolan Olympic delegation arrived in Tokyo, capital of Japan, for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, taking place from the 23rd of July to the 8th of August 2021.
The group headed by Mr Mário Rosa, is made up of athletes from the men’s and women’s handball sailing team and was received at the airport by His Excellency the Ambassador of Angola to Japan Rui Xavier, Mrs. Ambassador Fátima Xavier and Mission diplomats.
However, the women’s team handball left on the 15th for the city of Tamana, in order to fulfill the last stage of preparation, under an agreement signed between that city and the AOC.
It should be noted that Angola will participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, in addition to the women’s handball modality, in sailing, swimming, judo and athletics.

Over the next few days, the remaining athletes will arrive in Tokyo, as well as H.E. Minister of Youth and Sports and Head of the Delegation, Ana Paula do Sacramento, the President of the CÔA, Gustavo da Conceicao and the Secretary General of the same organization, Antônio Monteiro.
