ANGOLAN FOREIGN MINISTER AND JAPANESE AMBASSADOR ASSESS THE LEVEL OF BILATERAL COOPERATION AND DISCUSS TICAD 8

The governments of Angola and Japan evaluated on Tuesday afternoon, July 19, in Luanda, the level of bilateral cooperation in various fields of political, economic and social life between the two countries.

The meeting was held this afternoon at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in downtown Luanda, between the holder of the portfolio of Angolan diplomacy, Ambassador Téte António, and the Japanese Ambassador to Angola, Maruhashi Jiro.

The opportunity served to the Japanese Ambassador to discuss with Minister Téte António matters related to the Eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8), to be held 27-28 August this year in Tunisia.

TICAD is a policy forum where diverse stakeholders participate and share their knowledge on African development. 

The official side events provide an opportunity to exchange views related to African development.

At the end of the audience granted by Minister Téte Antonio, His Excellency Maruhashi Jiro, also spoke about Toyota’s participation in the Luanda International Fair taking place in the Angolan capital, a stage for promoting national production, doing business, and fostering employment.

Attended the audience that the head of the Angolan diplomacy granted to the Ambassador of Japan, Ambassador Miguel Dialamicua, Director of the Asia Directorate of MIREX and the Consultant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Márcio Burity.
