PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC APPOINTS THE NEW HEADS OF DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS

AMBASSADORS IN THE USA, ZAMBIA, NORWAY, SERBIA, SOUTH AFRICA AND JAPAN FORMALLY BEGIN THEIR DUTIES

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, today swore the six Heads of Diplomatic Missions appointed this week, in a ceremony that took place in the Main Hall of the Presidential Palace, in Luanda.

The Ambassadors sworn in are, namely:

  • Agostinho de Carvalho dos Santos Van Dúnem, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the United States of America;
  • Albino Malungo, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the Republic of Zambia;
  • Alcino dos Prazeres Izata Francisco da Conceição, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the Kingdom of Norway;
  • Emílio Miguel de Carvalho Sobrinho, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the Republic of Serbia;
  • Rui Orlando Ferreira de Ceita da Silva Xavier, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the Republic of South Africa

and Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho, for the post of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Japan.

ATTRACT INVESTMENT, BRING TOURISTS TO THE COUNTRY…

Addressing the new Heads of Diplomatic Missions, the President of the Republic exhorted them to work hard in defending and projecting the good name of Angola and, also, in attracting foreign investment and promoting tourism.

João Lourenço wished the diplomats success in their mission on behalf of the Angola.
