LUANDA HOSTS SADC CENTRAL BANKS GOVERNORS MEETING

The Angolan capital, Luanda, will host on 28-30 October, the 41st Meeting of the Committee of Governors of Central Banks (CGCB) of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The meetings will focus primarily on monetary policy, banking supervision, monetary and capital markets, international financial relations, payment systems, clearing and settlement, training, information systems and money laundering.

The Governor of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) holds the permanent presidency of the CGCB. The CGCB was established in 1995 to address the need of a specialized structure to promote and achieve close cooperation between central banks in Southern Africa.
