The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Angola in Nagoya was formally opened on May 26, 2021, by H.E. Mr. Rui Orlando Xavier, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Japan, H.E. Mr. Jiro Maruhashi, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Angola and Mr. Ichiro Kashitani, President & CEO of Toyota Tsusho Corporation and newly appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Angola in Nagoya.

The event which was also attended by officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Japan and from Toyota Tsusho Corporation, was preceded by a courtesy call by H.E. Ambassador Xavier to Mr. Jun Karube, Chairman of Toyota Tsusho Corporation.

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Angola in Nagoya is in the premises of Toyota Tsusho Corporation Nagoya Head Office and has jurisdiction over the Chubu Consular District which includes the following Prefectures: Yamanashi, Niigata, Toyama, Gifu, Nagano, Shizuoka, Aichi, Ishikawa and Fukui.
