The Angolan Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho,  presented this week the Credential Letters to His Majesty NARUHITO, Emperor of Japan.

The accreditation ceremony took place at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and during the event, His Majesty the Emperor addressed words of welcome and congratulations to Angola’s new Ambassador to Japan, expressing his desire to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the audience, Ambassador Teodolinda Rodrigues Coelho reaffirmed her willingness to work towards strengthening political-diplomatic relations and economic-business co-operation, with a view to creating a strategic partnership between the two countries, focused on the areas of trade and industry, technological development, renewable energies, tourism, fisheries and the blue economy.

The aim is also to seek agreements that will enable staff training and intensify cultural co-operation.

Born in Luanda, Teodolinda Coelho has a degree in Law from the “Agostinho Neto” University and prior to her accreditation as the new Ambassador to Japan, she held the positions of Director Europe, Director America of MIREX, as well as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Angola to Austria and to the United Nations Offices and other International Organizations in Vienna.
