EMBASSY OF ANGOLA PARTICIPATES IN THE SETAGAYA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2026

The Embassy of Angola in Japan participated this Saturday (02/28/2026), for the sixth consecutive time, in the 9th Edition of the Setagaya International Festival in Tokyo.

The annual event aims to promote cultural exchange between citizens of various nationalities and falls within the scope of cooperation with Setagaya City, where the Embassy of Angola in the Japanese capital is located, among other diplomatic missions.

The initiative aims to make Setagaya a space for coexistence between different cultures and is part of the strategy to strengthen the friendly relations between Angola and Japan, precisely in the year when both countries celebrate 50 years of bilateral relations.

The Ambassador of Angola to Japan, Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho, accompanied by guests, visited the booth, adorned with the national colors, which showcased traditional dances, handicrafts—highlighting the “Pensador” (The Thinker) figure and Queen Njinga Mbandi—African fabrics, and national products such as coffee and honey from Moxico, as well as Eka and Cuca beers, alongside tourism promotion catalogs.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Setagaya, Nobuto Hosaka, accompanied by senior officials from his office. In addition to Angola, the embassies of Mozambique, Rwanda, and Togo, a representation from Timor-Leste, and various Japanese institutions also participated.
