Tokyo, 7 June 2026 – The Embassy of Angola in Japan took part this weekend in the 47th Setagaya Furusato Community Festival, held in Tokyo.
Under the theme “Feel the festival and share the excitement”, the event was held on Saturday and Sunday with the aim of providing foreign residents of Setagaya Ward an opportunity for harmonious interaction and greater integration into the local community.
According to the Ambassador of Angola to Japan, Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho, Angola’s participation symbolizes the excellent level of cooperation between the Angolan diplomatic mission and the Setagaya Ward administration.
The diplomat also highlighted that Angola’s presence at the festival offered an opportunity to share information—especially with children and young people—about the country’s socioeconomic development, tourism potential, and the richness of Angolan culture, at a time when the month dedicated to children is being celebrated.
The Embassy’s participation also helped strengthen the bonds of friendship and cultural exchange between Angola and Japan, promoting closer ties between the peoples of both countries.
