AUTHORITIES FROM ANGOLA AND JAPAN ANALYZE THE STATE OF BILATERAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES

The state of bilateral cooperation, in the most varied fields of politic, diplomatic, economic and commercial area between Angola and Japan, was once again analyzed in Luanda between the authorities of the two countries.

To this effect, His Excellency Jiro Maruhashi, Japanese Ambassador accredited in Angola, went to the MIREX headquarters to discuss with His Excellency Domingos Custodio Vieira Lopes, Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Communities Abroad, issues related to the deepening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The occasion served for the Japanese Ambassador in Angola to inform the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Overseas Communities about preparations for the TICAD Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held on August 27 and 28 in Tunis, Tunisia.

The meeting also served to review the status of the exchange of notes on the payment of Angola’s debt to Japan, as well as bilateral cooperation, including the Investment Protection Agreement and the Visa Waiver Agreement for Diplomatic and Official Passports.
