EMBASSY OF ANGOLA IN JAPAN RECEIVES TRAINING FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AND EARTHQUAKES

In Tokyo, on March 27 of the current year, the Chief Representative of the Setagaya Fire Department, in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, responded to the request of Her Excellency the Ambassador to conduct a training program for emergency situations and earthquakes for the staff of the Angola Embassy in Japan.

Her Excellency Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho, Ambassador of Angola to Japan, along with the diplomatic staff, central appointees, and local staff participated in the same simulation. This training is part of the efforts of this Diplomatic Mission to create conditions that raise awareness and prepare its staff for potential natural disasters.

The promoters of this initiative brought all the technical means to the Embassy’s premieses, including a vehicle for earthquake simulation (with intensity +8), fire simulation tents, emergency materials, and equipment for rescuing buried victims.

The training session was preceded by a discussion on the different precautions and actions to take in emergency situations, particularly regarding the care of subsistence means and first aid medical assistance to victims, as well as the use of the emergency backpack.

During the same training action, an instruction manual containing general information and procedures for emergency cases was distribuited.
