ANGOLA-BOTSWANA RELATIONS – MEETING BETWEEN THE TWO LEADERS

June 14, 2024

After the intense day at the SADC headquarters, the President of the Republic of Angola went to the Presidential Palace in Gaborone for a courtesy meeting with his counterpart, the President of the Republic of Botswana, Mokgweetsi Masisi.

The two statesmen held a private meeting and then discussed their desire to see increased cooperation between the two countries in the presence of their respective delegations.

In summary, Luanda and Gaborone reiterated their enormous interest in developing concrete actions for the benefit of their people and economies, in the spirit of what was agreed in July last year when President João Lourenço visited Botswana.
