Tokyo, July 10, 2026 – Angola’s Ambassador to Japan, Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho, received Ambassador Jun Shimmi, Commissioner of the GREEN×EXPO 2027 International Horticultural Exhibition, today (July 10, 2026) in a courtesy call.
The meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of preparations for the exposition, which will take place in Yokohama, Japan, from March 19 to September 26, 2027, under the theme “Future Scenario for Happiness.”
Appointed by the Government of Japan, the Expo Commissioner is the host country’s chief representative, responsible for promoting the event and overseeing its organization.
Angola will participate in GREEN × EXPO 2027 with a delegation led by Commissioner-General Rosa Cruz e Silva, who recently visited Yokohama for a training session for representatives of participating countries.
GREEN × EXPO 2027 will serve as yet another important international platform for Angola to showcase its potential in the fields of agriculture, sustainability, investment, tourism, and culture, thereby enhancing the country’s profile and opportunities for international cooperation.
