The Ambassador of the Republic of Angola , Rui Orlando Xavier , received on July 26, 2022 , the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon , Pierre Ndzengue , with whom he exchanged views on the politics, economic and social situation in both countries and the preparation of the next Summit of TICAD 8 to be held in Tunis on 27 and August 28, 2022.

The Ambassadors of Angola, Zimbabwe and Namibia, met on July 25, 2022, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Hayashi Yoshimasa, during the reception allusive to the revitalization of Fukushima, which took place at Happo-en in Tokyo.
The ceremony was attended by the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Japan, Fukushima city officials, and officials from several chambers of commerce.

The governments of Angola and Japan evaluated on Tuesday afternoon, July 19, in Luanda, the level of bilateral cooperation in various fields of political, economic and social life between the two countries.

The meeting was held this afternoon at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in downtown Luanda, between the holder of the portfolio of Angolan diplomacy, Ambassador Téte António, and the Japanese Ambassador to Angola, Maruhashi Jiro.

The opportunity served to the Japanese Ambassador to discuss with Minister Téte António matters related to the Eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8), to be held 27-28 August this year in Tunisia.

TICAD is a policy forum where diverse stakeholders participate and share their knowledge on African development. 

The official side events provide an opportunity to exchange views related to African development.

At the end of the audience granted by Minister Téte Antonio, His Excellency Maruhashi Jiro, also spoke about Toyota’s participation in the Luanda International Fair taking place in the Angolan capital, a stage for promoting national production, doing business, and fostering employment.

Attended the audience that the head of the Angolan diplomacy granted to the Ambassador of Japan, Ambassador Miguel Dialamicua, Director of the Asia Directorate of MIREX and the Consultant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Márcio Burity.

July 22th, 2022
On July 15th, 2022, the Ambassador of Japan Mr. MARUHASHI Jiro participated in the closing ceremony of the 1st training group and opening ceremony the 2nd training group of Toyota Academy of Angola at the Vocational Training Center of Cazenga of INEFOP/MAPTSS.

This project is a result of triangular cooperation (Japan-Angola-Brazil), carried out by experienced trainers from Toyota of Angola, instructors from the National Service of Industrial Training of Brazil (SENAI) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

It is expected that the trainees those who are car maintenance instructors at INEFOP, will transmit to many other young people, the experience, knowledge and training acquired in this project.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Angola in Japan, Rui Orlando Xavier, received on June 24, 2022, the President of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Dr. Yamakawa Hiroshi.

The purpose of the meeting was to present his company and the possibility in the future of a cooperation with the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication.

The Ambassador of Angola in Japan, Rui Orlando Xavier, received on June 16th, in his office, the President of the Japan-Portugal Society, Ambassador Nobutaka Shinomiya.

The meeting aimed to explore the commercial relations with the Japan-Portugal Society and to see the way how Japanese medium-sized companies can enter the Angolan market.

It should be noted that Ambassador Nobutaka Shinomiya, had held key senior positions in MOFA and was Japanese Ambassador to Portugal.
