AMBASSADOR OF ANGOLA PARTICIPATES IN THE MEETING ON INVESTMENTS BETWEEN SADC AND KEIDANREN

On November 28th of the current year, HE Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Japan, participated in a meeting on investments between SADC Ambassadors (accredited in Japan) and the Federation of Japanese Companies (KEIDANREN).

The meeting in question served to present the SADC Industrialization Strategy, a document that lists the main pillars for the region’s development focused on industrialization, competitiveness and regional integration, allowing the emergence of economies more focused on development.

SADC Ambassadors took the opportunity to create an open approach with representatives from KEIDANREN on the different existing projects in the region, which could benefit from Japan’s investment, focused on the areas of infrastructure, energy, transport, industrial development, agriculture, mines and green economy. They also addressed other important issues linked to economic development, economic/digital transformation and the need to attract new investments.

At the end of the meeting, a session was organized to exchange experience, contacts and search for connections between Companies and Ambassadors in the region, in which H.E. Mrs. Ambassador took opportunity of the occasion to maintain contacts with some important companies and mention the Angolan Government’s policies in attracting investments, taking as an example some projects such as the new Luanda International Airport (Dr. António Agostinho Neto), the Lobito Corridor project , the Angola LNG project (Zaire Province), the Caraculo photovoltaic project, among others, which are increasingly attracting the attention of different international investors.
