The Ambassador of Angola to Japan, Rui Orlando Xavier, received Mr. Akira Wada, senior General Manager of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, in his office today, February 18, 2023, who came to say goodbye, as he will be transferred to Kenya as the TTC Representative in that country.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Ayako Koizumi, who will replace Mr. Wada and the TTC’s interlocutor for the preparation of projects for Angola and other African countries.

Beautiful art exhibition Ikebana 2023, organized by Ikebana Internacional TFC, in coordination with Ambassadress Maria de Fátima Xavier, wife of the Angolan Ambassador to Japan, Rui Orlando Xavier. The event took place at the facilities of the “Tokyo Metropolitan Theater”.
At the opening ceremony of the event, the President of Ikebana International proceeded to the symbolic cutting of the ribbon, with the Ambassadress of Angola in Japan, Maria de Fátima Xavier and the wife of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mrs. Yuko Hayashi.
Ambassadress Maria de Fátima Xavier took the opportunity to announce her departure from Japan soon, due to the end of her husband Rui Orlando Xavier’s mission as Ambassador of Angola to Japan and to thank everyone who was fundamental, helping and guiding her during her performance as ´Chairperson of the Ikebana International Fair in 2021´ and subsequently at the Ikebana International events, co-organized by her.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Japan, Mr. Rui Orlando Xavier, was received today, April 06th of 2023, at the Heardquarter of the International Tropical Timber Organization by the Executive Director, Ms. Sheam Satkuru.
Angola became the 61th member of the organization at the final of the last year.
The ITTO is an intergovernmental organization promoting the sustainable management and conservation of tropical forests and the expansion and diversification of international trade in tropical timber from sustainably managed and legally harvested forests.

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, today swore the six Heads of Diplomatic Missions appointed this week, in a ceremony that took place in the Main Hall of the Presidential Palace, in Luanda.

Addressing the new Heads of Diplomatic Missions, the President of the Republic exhorted them to work hard in defending and projecting the good name of Angola and, also, in attracting foreign investment and promoting tourism.
João Lourenço wished the diplomats success in their mission on behalf of the Angola.

President of the Republic and Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Japan, in which he thanks for the results obtained during the official visit of the Head of State of Angola to Japan.

PRESIDENT JOÃO LOURENÇO VISITED THE IMPERIAL PALACE, EXPERIENCED THE TEA CEREMONY, HAD LUNCH IN KYOTO FASHION AND VISITED TWO TEMPLES.
The official visit of the President of the Republic to Japan has come to an end, with today entirely dedicated to contact with the culture of Kyoto, a city considered the center of Japanese tradition.
The journey began with the presidential couple visiting the Sento Imperial Palace and its wide gardens and extensive lakes, marking the passage through the place the moment in which João Lourenço and Ana Dias Lourenço sat on the balcony of one of the secular houses of the property to contemplate the effect of the reflection of the gardens in the waters of the lake.
The traditional tea ceremony followed in the protocol residence where the President was accommodated, guided by masters of this centuries-old ritual of Japanese society and continuous act, a lunch with the most representative samples of local gastronomy.
President João Lourenço arrived at the dining room barefoot, as tradition has followed for generations and generations of diners.
