The Minister of Energy and Water, H. E. Mr. João Baptista Borges, is in Japan for a four-day visit at the invitation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The Minister leads an important delegation composed of senior representatives of the Public Electricity Generation Company (PRODEL-EP), the National Electricity Distribution Network (RNT-EP), the National Electricity Distribution Company (ENDE-EP) and the Regulatory Institute for Electricity and Water Services (IRSEA).
Since June 2017, experts from JICA and Tokyo Electric Power Services Co. Ltd. (TEPSCO) have carried out a study of Angola’s energy needs as part of the Electricity Master Plan (2018-2040). The results of this study will be formally presented to the Minister of Energy and Water during his stay in Japan.
During his stay in Tokyo, Minister João Baptista Borges, will meet senior officials of JICA and TEPSCO, visit infrastructures related to the production and distribution of electricity and will also speak at seminar for about 40 Japanese companies in the energy sector.

Elected with 99.3% of the votes, Destino Pedro Nsevilu is the Deputy Commissioner for Criminal Investigation and Director of the INTERPOL National Office in Angola, according to a press release from the Angolan National Police.
Angola chaired for the first time the INTERPOL Executive Committee for Africa in the period 2008 and 2009. The former delegate was Commissioner Eduardo Cerqueira.

Angolan Head of State João Lourenço will visit Portugal from November 22 to 24 at the invitation of his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
According to the President’s Civil Affairs Office, this will be the first State visit of President João Lourenço to Portugal.
The President will be accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, a ministerial delegation and members of his office.
The official program includes visits to Lisbon and Porto. In Lisbon, the highlights of the visit will be a meeting between President João Lourenço and his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and an address at the Assembly of the Republic.
In Porto city, João Lourenço will attend in a Portugal-Angola economic seminar that will bring together businessmen from both countries.
